The mountain that needs no caption

Two hours from Tokyo, the Fuji Five Lakes area offers the most iconic backdrop in Japan. We plan your shoot around the mountain's moods — early mornings for mirror-still lake reflections, and the clear-sky months when Fuji shows herself most reliably.

Good to know

When can you actually see Mt. Fuji?

An honest answer: not every day. The mountain hides in haze and cloud, especially in summer. Visibility is best from late autumn to winter (November–February), and in the first hours after sunrise year-round. We schedule Fuji shoots early in the day, when the mountain is most likely to show itself.

Lakesides

Kawaguchiko's north shore: open water, wide skies and the classic reflection shot.

Viewpoints

The five-story pagoda framing Fuji — the single most recognised view of Japan.

Highlands

Quiet fields and forest roads where it is just the two of you and the mountain.
